🔍 Wallet Address Checker

Before you withdraw or receive an airdrop, paste the address here and verify it. It checks whether it's a valid 0x address and whether the mixed-case checksum (EIP-55) holds. Everything is computed locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Works for Ethereum, BSC (BNB Smart Chain), Arbitrum and every other EVM chain — the address format is the same across all of them.
A few things you should know about wallet addresses and checksums

An EVM wallet address looks like this: 0x followed by 40 hexadecimal characters, 42 in total. It's derived from your public key and is public by itself — others knowing your address can't touch your funds, but they can see every on-chain record tied to it. What you must never leak is your private key and seed phrase.

What's the EIP-55 checksum for?

The earliest addresses were all lowercase, and a single mistyped character was almost impossible to spot. EIP-55 came up with a fix: based on the address's content, some letters are capitalized and some left lowercase, forming a kind of "fingerprint." Wallet software displays addresses in this mixed case. If you change a character while copying or typing by hand, the case fingerprint no longer matches, and a tool with checksum support (including this one) can warn you that "this address may be wrong."

Note: the checksum can only catch a mixed-case address that has been "altered or mistyped." If what you have is an all-lowercase or all-uppercase address, it carries no checksum information of its own — the tool can only confirm the format is valid and give you the canonical mixed-case form; it can't tell you whether it's the address you actually meant to send to.

What else to check before withdrawing

  • Verify the first and last few characters. Plenty of coin-stealing malware quietly swaps the address in your clipboard. After pasting, always glance at the opening and closing characters to confirm they match the address you intend to send to.
  • Verify the network/chain. The same address exists across different EVM chains, but you must pick the right withdrawal network, or the assets may not arrive or be hard to recover. See how to withdraw gas from Binance to a Web3 wallet.
  • Test with a small amount first. The first time you send to a new address, send a tiny amount first, confirm it arrives, then send the larger sum.
